Miss me?

Sat Nov 28, 2009, 2:02 PM
I bet you didn't expect to hear back from me. Well too bad.

I few interesting things have happened since *looks back to last journal* May 26. Over the summer I had a babysitting job for Mom's coworker's son and friends. Really, though, it was chauffeuring because they are both 13, but whatever. What this means is I spent most of that time running in the mornings and reading by the pool in the afternoons... or watching movies, depending on the weather.

School started out decently well. I started hanging out with a guy that I met last Halloween and we are now happily dating. Consequences of my actions: two, maybe three friends lost. Worth it? Yes. The one turned out to be more of a bitch than I thought (she started spreading rumors about me and forging IM conversations to "prove" that I was turning into a monster), and she apparently didn't take any time to get to know me anyway. The other, well, I'll still miss him, but he only wanted me to be happy with him. Needless to say, he didn't approve of my new choice of beau. The possible third I would very much like the salvage the relationship from, but it won't ever be how it could have been. *sigh*

Yet again one of my friends (and not an emotionally distant friend) got married and didn't tell me. She didn't tell anyone from back home and we're all pissed at her. It's possible she'll be having a "reception" party in late December and I'll go, but I'm bringing my boyfriend with me.

Thanksgiving was decently relaxing. We cooked and brought Thanksgiving dinner to my aunt who broke her leg. Her and my uncle were on his motorcycle and a deer jumped into the side of them. Uncle John was able to keep the bike upright (How?! HOW?!?!) but the deer, a six-point buck, still broke her leg. The buck died, though, so it's all good. Aunt Chris' bones were fractured in many places, one of which looks like someone bit into it--it's still attached. She won't be able to put any weight at all on it until Christmas, so we put up her Christmas decorations for her before we left. She was very appreciative.

Currently I have a paper due on Wednesday that I need to write tonight because I have a presentation for a paper that I haven't started researching also on Wednesday. I also have a 1000 word paper due Monday, but I already have that done.

That's all for now.

Yoooooooo

Tue May 26, 2009, 9:02 AM
Hey all! I'd been on hiatus for a while and when I came back, I had 150 deviations to look at. I just glanced over the thumbnail versions of them, but don't be mad at me! I saw every one. I promise.

So things have been going relatively well for me. Well. Besides not being able to get a job. Seriously, you'd think someone out of 7 would hire me... Anyway, Mike and I went to Ormond Beach, FL a couple weeks ago with his mom. It was really nice down there and I was sad to drive the 15 hrs back. This weekend I went with Mom to my cousin's bridal shower in NY. It was a good time and apparently one of the toll booth guys was checking me out when I was sleeping in the car on the way up. o_O

Has anything interesting been happening with you?

Relaxed

Hello all ye deviants! It sure has been a while. ^^;

I have finished my second year of college and am now home enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend. Unfortunately, I'll only get to appreciate from my room because it needs to be cleaned and organized. BADLY. But I'll still get the gentle breezes. ^_^

This summer I need to find a job. I've already applied to a few places and, of course, only one responded. With a no.

Life has been going well for me. I made some new friends this past year that I'll be keeping in touch with wherever they decide to roam to. It's nice to have such interesting people to call my friends.

In a year and a month or two I'll be headed off to Japan for a semester abroad. I'll (hopefully) be going to Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. They seem to be my best chance of learning everything I can while I'm there and having lots of fun. I look forward to it. ^_^

Tekko this year was better than last year, I suppose. There was still lots of drama, but not as devastating as last year's was. Hopefully next year's will be even less... if they have Tekko next year...

Well, I think it's about time I start cleaning my room. Enjoy the weather and have a great summer!

Death of a Dry Cleaner

Sun Mar 1, 2009, 6:22 PM
Farewell, Basilon Dry Cleaners. I knew thee well. Or rather, my band uniform did.

If you haven't heard (or seen) by now, the Cleaners are on fire. Well actually, they just got the fires put out. Damn, that was a big structure fire for such a little place.

Check the news!
